HOUGHTON, N.Y.-- Houghton women's tennis (2-9, 0-6) returned to action today against the Brockport Eagles (6-3, 2-1) who came away with a 8-1 victory over the Highlanders.
The one victory for the Highlanders came from doubles play where
Bethany Chesebro (Olean, NY) and
Laura Jacuzzo (Seneca Falls, NY) combined for an 8-6 victory.
"Bethany and Laura played excellent today and we were very enthusiastic in their win. I was very proud of our team and their attitudes. Brockport is one of the best teams in the SUNYAC Conference," said Coach Charlie Ellis.
