HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Houghton men's tennis student-athletes
Graham Cook,
Samuel Garay and
Preston Tobolski have been named Empire 8 All-Conference following the 2025 season.
Cook earned West Division First Team honors in singles, while Garay and Tobolski each earned West Division Second Team honors in both singles and doubles.
Cook was 8-5 overall in singles play, including a 4-2 mark in the Empire 8. He was 6-1 in third singles and 2-4 in second singles.
Garay was 8-2 overall in singles, all in the fourth position. His conference record was 5-1.
Tobolski was 7-7 overall and 3-3 in E8 play. He finished 0-3 in first singles, 3-2 in second and 4-2 in third.
Garay and Tobolski also teamed up in doubles play, where they produced a 6-5 overall record as partners, including a 3-3 mark in the E8. They were 1-1 at first doubles and tallied a 5-4 mark in second doubles.
In addition, Cook was Houghton's selection to the Empire 8 Sportsman of the Year Team. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportsmen.
