HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Four members of the Houghton field hockey program have been named to Empire 8 All-Conference teams for the fall 2025 season.
Campbell Bowers was a first team selection,
Kylee Barshinger and
Lilyana Good were named to the second team, while
Adria Hartzler made the third team.
This marks the second time Bowers has been recognized by the E8 in her career. She was a third team selection following her freshman campaign. This season Bowers was again a stalwart on the Highlander defense, while also contributing offensively with three goals and two assists.
Barshinger earned her first all-conference recognition after leading the Highlanders with 14 goals, 5 assists and 33 points. She also had a team-high 63 shots. Her 14 goals tied for fourth-most in the E8.
Good makes her first appearance as an All-E8 selection. She finished third on the team with 10 goals, while adding two assists. She led the team with four game-winning goals.
Hartzler has earned third team honors in all three of her seasons as a Highlanders. She continued to move up the Houghton all-time scoring list after tallying 12 goals and tying for the team lead with 5 assists. She currently has 29 goals, 20 assists and 78 points in her career. She stands just outside the top-10 in program history in each of those career categories.
In addition,
Ava Kramp was Houghton's selection to the E8 Tomorrow's Leaders Team. One member of each team was named that institution's representative. This team honors a student-athlete who has emerged as a leader not only on the field of play, but in the classroom and in the community. In addition, they "compete with honor and integrity" and have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportswomen.
