HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Houghton women's lacrosse student-athlete
Mary Doell has been named to the Empire 8 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Third Team in voting by E8 coaches announced Monday.
Doell started all six games during the shortened spring season and led the team in draw controls with 29 and ground balls with 14. She finished third on the team with 6 goals scored and added a team-high 3 assists. She also led the team in total shots (28) and shots on goal (21). Her 7 caused turnovers were also good for third on the team.
She had a season-high 11 draw controls vs. Russell Sage.

Zoey Kasper was Houghton's selection to the 2021 Empire 8 Women's Lacrosse Sportswoman of the Year Team. One member from each institution was named to the team. The Empire 8 Conference emphasizes that "Competing with Honor and Integrity" is an essential component of a student-athlete's experience in conjunction with an institution's educational mission. These honorees have distinguished themselves and consistently exhibit the critical traits as outstanding sportswomen.
