Box Score HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Houghton men's lacrosse dropped a 13-4 decision to SUNY Poly on Wednesday at Burke Field.
After the Wildcats opened the scoring two minutes in,
Jonathan Mayer evened the score at one at the 11:13 mark. However, the Wildcats would go on to score the game's next four goals to gain control and took that 5-1 lead into the half.
Cole Chapman scored three minutes into the third period to pull Houghton within three, and after another SUNY Poly goal, Mayer scored his second to make it 6-3. But six-straight Wildcat goals spanning the third and fourth quarters put the game out of reach.
