Cazenovia, NY – The Houghton College Men's Lacrosse team picked up their second win in as many games on the road at Cazenovia on Monday, 15-8. Â
Cazenovia struck first with a Connor Smith goal less than three minutes into the game, but Houghton would fire back with three of their own to take a 3-1 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Cazenovia would string together a pair of goals in the second quarter to tie the game before Houghton's
Austin Andryshak would score his second goal of the game to give the Highlanders a 4-3 halftime lead.
The Highlanders owned the second half by outscoring Cazenovia 11-5 in the game's final 30 minutes. Houghton was able to capitalize and find the net on four different man-up situations in the second half.
The team's 2-0 record is their best season start since the program's inception in 2013.
