HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Houghton men's lacrosse student-athlete Jonathan Mayer has been named the Empire 8 Men's Lacrosse Co-Player of the Week for the week ending March 15.

Mayer led the Highlanders with nine points on a career-high seven goals to go along with two assists in Houghton's 21-12 win over Keystone College on Tuesday. In addition, Mayer picked up three ground balls and caused five turnovers. He has 16 goals and 22 points in five games this season.
