Box Score ONEONTA, N.Y. -- Houghton men's lacrosse lost 14-4 on the road to Hartwick College in E8 action Saturday.
The Hawks outshot the Highlanders 18-1 in the first quarter and held an 8-1 lead after the first 15 minutes. Hartwick tacked on six more goals in the second quarter to take a 14-1 lead into the locker room.
Paul Chapman had the Highlanders' lone first half goal.
The Hawks did not score in the second half, as the Highlanders tallied three more. Chapman scored twice and freshman
Quinn Hull also scored.
Jorge Medina made nine stops in net as the Highlanders were outshot 42-10 on the afternoon. The Hawks also had a 37-18 advantage in ground balls and won 17 of 22 faceoffs.
Houghton (2-12; 0-7 E8) returns to action on Wednesday, April 26 for 4 p.m. road contest at Alfred University.
