HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Post-season honors continue to roll in for Houghton baseball as
Kanta Ueno was named 2nd Team NCCAA All-America and First Team ABCA/Rawlings All-Region, while
Christian Tortorici (2nd team) and
Qingyang Feng (3rd team) were also all-region honorees.
Ueno (2B) led the conference and was among the national leaders with a .464 batting average. He also led the conference with 71 hits and set a new program record in that category. He also was among the top 10 in the conference in slugging percentage, on-base percentage, OPS, runs scored, RBI, triples, stolen bases, and sac bunts. His 52 RBI were a single season program record.
Tortorici (C) finished the season batting .354 with 56 hits, 10 doubles, four triples, a home run and 41 RBI. He was in the top 10 in the conference in hits and RBI.
Feng (3B) was third on the team with a .359 average. he was second on the team with 61 hits, while leading the team in doubles (17), triples (5) and home runs (3). He finished in the top 10 in the E8 in runs, walks, stolen bases, hits and doubles, while leading the conference in triples.
