This Week: Several Highlanders will take to the track next weekend, at Nazareth, to compete in the All-Atlantic Regional Conference Championships.

BASEBALL (1-1, 0-0 E8)
Last Week:Â The Baseball team opened up their season on Saturday with a split double-header against the Cairn Highlanders as the team ventured their way south for their annual spring break baseball tour.
In the two games, Center Fielder and leadoff hitter, Jason Kauffeldt got on base in 5 of his 8 at-bats, stole two bases, and scored 3 of Houghton's runs. Dylan Boprey gave Houghton 2 hits in the first game, and Zach Parr notched 2 hits in the second game that included a double.
Hunter Kendall started on the mound for Houghton where he pitched 4 scoreless innings while striking out 6 and picking up the win. Ryan Newtown came in for a 3-inning save where he allowed just one run while striking out 4 Cairn batters.
Jeremey Wilcox and Will Tormey each logged 3 innings on the mound in game two. Each pitcher allowed 3 earned runs. Wilcox struck out 5 batters while Tormey retired 2 on strikes.
This Week:
The Highlanders continue south to warmer weather where they will play Elizabethtown on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in a single game before taking on SUNY-Maritime in a double-header on Friday. First pitches will be thrown at 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Saturday, the team heads to Vero Beach, Florida to take on Norwich (CT) at 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
