Micah Schilke

Micah Schilke '24, joined the Houghton tennis staff as Associate Head Coach in August 2025.

Schilke, a two-sport athlete at Houghton in tennis and soccer, was a four-time All-Empire 8 First Team honoree, the 2022 Empire 8 Men's Tennis Player of the Year, and the 2023 Conference Tournament MVP. He graduated from Houghton with degrees in Communication, Sports Management, and Inclusive Childhood Education.
 
In addition to his standout playing career, Schilke gained extensive coaching experience as the lead tennis instructor at Silver Bay YMCA, where he developed and directed instructional programming for players of all ages while overseeing staff and court operations. He also served as a teaching pro at Midtown Athletic Club in Rochester and has volunteered his time coaching middle school and high school athletes.
 
He is currently a full-time teacher in the Wellsville School District.
