PITTSBURGH, PA – The Houghton University men's volleyball team delivered a strong all-around performance Saturday afternoon, sweeping Carlow in straight sets (25-19, 25-18, 25-17) in AMCC action.
Houghton controlled the match from the outset, hitting .190 in the opening set before maintaining steady offensive production throughout. The Highlanders never trailed for long stretches, using balanced scoring and consistent serving pressure to secure the three-set victory.
Key Performers
Devin Cline paced the offense with a team-high six kills, adding three service aces, four digs, and two block assists for a match-best 10.0 points. Jared Wright contributed five kills and was a force at the net with four total blocks.
Michael McGlynn was highly efficient, recording four kills on five attempts for a .800 hitting percentage while adding three block assists. Jonah Sissel chipped in four kills and two service aces.
Setter Jerry Buno directed the offense with 19 assists, helping Houghton to a .145 team hitting percentage.

Houghton finished with 31 kills on 62 attempts while committing just 14 errors. The Highlanders were especially effective from the service line, tallying 10 aces and keeping Carlow out of system for much of the match.
