BUFFALO, N.Y. — Houghton University men's volleyball dropped a road AMCC matchup to Buffalo State in straight sets (25-10, 25-16, 25-19) on Tuesday evening.
The Highlanders battled throughout the match but were unable to overcome an efficient Bengals attack, as the home side hit .377 for the match compared to Houghton's -.038.

Buffalo State established control early, limiting Houghton to just three kills in the opening set while hitting .438 offensively to take a quick 1-0 lead.
The second set saw modest improvement from the Highlanders, but errors continued to hinder momentum. Houghton recorded three kills against five errors in the frame, allowing Buffalo State to extend the lead to two sets.
