HOUGHTON, NY – Stephanie Jean-Baptiste tallied 20 points, 12 rebounds and three assists to guide the SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles past the Houghton Highlanders, 70-59.
 
From the opening tip it looked like the Golden Eagles would run away with the game, sprinting out to a 10-0 lead.  But the Highlanders answered with a 13-0 run of their own, and the game was on.
 
Houghton led by as many as eight in the second quarter before the Golden Eagles peeled off another run to take a 35-33 lead at the half.
 
Brockport built a double-digit lead in the third, but again Houghton battled back, pulling with a point in the fourth quarter.
 
But over the final seven minutes of play the Highlanders would score only four points, while the Golden Eagles would put away another 14, pulling away in the final minutes.
