HOUGHTON, NY – A high-powered Houghton offense scored 58 points in the first half, cruising a to a 90-51 victory over the SUNY Poly Wildcats on Saturday afternoon.
 
Houghton shot a scorching 58 percent from the floor in the first half, including hitting 7-of-11 (64 percent) from three-point range. 
 
In the first quarter alone, the Highlanders generated 10 turnovers while giving the ball away only two times, setting an early tone they would keep throughout the entirety of the game.

>> Fresh off scoring her 1,000^th career point in last night's matchup with Utica, Crysta LaCrosse collected 16 points and seven assists.  LaCrosse currently ranks 13^th on the all-time Houghton scoring list, and now has 372 career assists, trailing second-place-holder Cori Beck (2016-20) by eight assists.
 
Since coming back from Christmas break, LaCrosse has scored 37 points, grabbed 23 rebounds and dished out 22 assists in three games.
