Late Three Stuns Houghton in Loss to Fisher

HOUGHTON, NY – Trailing by two, St. John Fisher's Hannah Ferguson drained a three with 1.8 seconds left on the clock to lift the Cardinals to a 63-62 victory over the Houghton Highlanders.
 
Houghton led by four entering the final quarter, but the Cardinals quickly flipped the script with a 9-1 run in the opening minutes. 
 
The teams then traded leads twice, and with 18 seconds left to play the Cardinals held a two-point advantage when Houghton's Teghan Trocki nailed a three-pointer off an inbounds play to put the Highlanders up by one.
 
Crysta LaCrosse would sink a free throw to put Houghton up by two, leading into the final seconds when Ferguson hit the game-winner.
