WILLIAMSTOWN, MA -- Twelve Highlander track & field athletes traveled to Williams College on May 14-15 to compete in the All-Atlantic Regional Championships. This marks the most athletes to compete in this meet since it's conception in 2017. With a picturesque mountain backdrop, the weather was ideal for day one of the championships on Wednesday. The day one line up included:
Men's 4 x 100m Relay -
Kealon Knight,
Evan Kurtz,
Tim Gordon,
Avery Belanger
The crew ran a program record time of 43.01, but the 2nd exchange happened beyond the allowable zone and ended in a disqualification. Still, a very good run by these men.
Evan Kurtz - 100m Prelim
Kurtz again breaks 11 seconds, running 10.98 to finish 24th place.Â
Alexa Belanger - Long Jump
In just her third time doing the event this year, she jumps 5.29m. This is just under her personal best of 5.50m from the Empire 8 Championships.
Men's 4 x 400m Relay -

Breaks a long standing program record by nearly 3 seconds, running 3:24.01. Splits were 50.3, 50.0, 51.0, 52.3.
Amos Bixler - 5,000m
Re-breaks his program record by ~ 2 seconds running 15:07.89 for 12th place in the event.Â
Noelle Linenfelser - 10,000m
A personal best by ~ 44 seconds, Noelle finishes 10th in the event in 38:59.25, good for #6 all-time in program history.Â
Day Two
Jenna Binney - 1,500m
Closes her season with a 5:01.38, and 29th place.
Gwenna Haas - 400mÂ
Her second fastest time ever of 61.83, and good for 23rd place.
Alexa Belanger - High Jump
2nd place finishing in 1.62m, and the first podium performance of the meet.
Evan Kurtz - 200m
22.34 for 20th place, and a finish to a historic career!
Men's 4 x 800m Relay -
Amos Bixler,
Henry Sardina,
James Eustace,
Aidan Fish
7:55.64 for 3rd place, a spot on the podium, and a medal. After a 2 hour weather delay, this group was resilient and competed well.
Alexa Belanger will compete at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Geneva, OH on Friday, May 23rd in the High Jump.Â
