CRESSON, PA – In their final regular season match up, the Highlanders traveled to Cresson, PA to take on the Mt. Aloysius Mounties. In a high-stakes battle, the Mounties were firing on all cylinders and took the match in a 3-0 sweep.

In the last match of the season, the Highlanders faced off against AMCC opponent Mt. Aloysius. This was a high-stakes battle as a win for the Mounties would send them to the playoffs with Houghton playing for the upset.
However, despite what was at stake, Mt. Aloysius came out strong from the start and never looked back. They held the lead for the entire first set and won 25-14. Houghton would not go away quietly in the second set and went point-for-point with the Mounties. With the set tied at 14, the Mounties came away with some crucial points and took the set 25-20.
The third set went much like the first with Mt. Aloysius gaining early momentum. That momentum carried them to a third set victory, 25-13, and a 3-0 sweep. With this loss, the Highlanders close out their second season.
