OSWEGO, N.Y. -- Houghton men's tennis lost to Oswego, 7-2, an Empire 8 match on the road Friday afternoon.
"Today was a tough day for us. We weren't ready to compete and that's on the Head Coach," said Head Coach
Jordan Crouch. "Luckily, we have another opportunity to compete tomorrow against St. John Fisher. I"m proud of how Sam played today. He was yet again dominant in both singles and doubles. Graham lost a really close match at third singles. I was happy with how he competed in some tough conditions. Let's go Highlanders!"
Garay won his singles match, 6-3, 6-4, and teamed with
Preston Tobolski to win 8-1 at second doubles. Cook lost 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 in third singles.
This is Oswego's first season as an affiliate E8 member in tennis.
Houghton hosts St. John Fisher on Saturday at 1 p.m.
