HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Four student-athletes from Houghton Women's Basketball have been named to the Academic All-District team that was released by College Sports Communicators (CSC) Tuesday, a recognition for the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

Earning the honor were Kayla Camacho, Abby Guiher, Tricia Carmer and Crysta LaCrosse.

Honorees must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and meet certain team participation and contribution criteria to be considered.
 
Based on her performance in the classroom and on the court, Camacho has also been added to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First, second, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in mid-April.
