HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Houghton men's tennis got its first win of the spring campaign, sweeping visiting Lycoming 7-0 in the Kerr-Pegula Field House on Thursday afternoon.

The Highlanders opened with a point by sweeping all three doubles matches, only allowing a single point in the matchups. Then the singles matches all went to the Highlanders with impressive and dominant showings by each athlete.

"It's good to be back home playing in front of our fans. I'm proud of the guys for getting a big win today," said Jordan Crouch, who registered his first win as Highlander coach. "We spent all week talking about playing aggressive tennis and dominating from the first point. I think we definitely set the tone in doubles and carried it through to the singles. Thanks to the fans that came out. The atmosphere was great today. We are excited to get back to training tomorrow to get ready for U of R and St. John Fisher next weekend. Let's go Highlanders!"
