Houghton faced a significant challenge in their match against No. 10 Hobart. From the start, Hobart demonstrated their strength in serving, putting pressure on Houghton's serve receive unit. Houghton struggled to pass the ball effectively and it hindered their ability to attack. Throughout the match, the Highlanders continued to fight, but eventually fell to Hobart in three straight sets.
