Director of Cross Country and Track & Field
Patrick Hager spoke after the meet, "There are a lot of moving pieces going into this week. Really, it was the first week we practiced all together. For training purposes, this isn't an issue, but the heart beat of the team is what we want to get started as quickly as possible. Like always, our leaders did a great job of setting the tone for our season culture in the days leading up to this meet. The distance team just started back to training after XC, the power group has been putting in a lot of reps all Fall, eager to get going. Thus, there were layers of goals today, depending on the group. From my perspective, all did well to attack and fulfill these goals before we break from competition for five weeks. The coaching staff is happy with the start, and excited for the work that lies ahead."
The Highlanders will be back in action on 1/17 at SUNY Brockport.Â
