Women's Basketball Remains Undefeated After Rallying to Beat Westminster

HOUGHTON, NY – After watching a 12-point halftime lead disintegrate into a one-point Westminster lead late the in the third quarter, the Houghton Highlanders rallied late to move to 5-0 on the season with a 71-63 victory over the Titans.

Over a seven-minute period on the third quarter, the Titans outscored the Highlanders, 15-3, erasing an 11-point Houghton lead and giving Westminster a one-point advantage.

A three-pointer from Hannah Farley, and a pair of buckets from Keely Mullins would put the Highlanders back up by four heading into the final 10 minutes.

Westminster kept things close in the opening possessions, but a 7-0 Houghton run to the midpoint, capped by a three by Tabitha DeVries from the top of the key, all but sealed the game for the Highlanders.

Over the remaining minutes, the Titans would never pull closer than eight points, as the Highlanders wrapped up the win.
