UTICA, N.Y. -- Houghton men's soccer snapped a five-game losing streak with a 1-0 E8 road win over SUNY Poly on Saturday.
James Fay scored his team-leading sixth goal of the season in the 52nd minute, and that's all the Highlanders would need.
SUNY Poly had a 17-6 shots advantage, but the Highlander defense held firm, and keeper
Joshua Smith made five saves to keep the slate clean.
Fay led the Highlanders with two shots.
Houghton avenged last year's 4-0 loss to the Wildcats.
