Women's Tennis Falls to Geneseo

Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. – Clancy Cockle picked up the lone Houghton women's tennis victory, as the Geneseo Knights defeated the Highlanders on Friday afternoon, 8-1.

The Knights took five-of-six singles matches, and all three doubles matches.

"Geneseo is a great program. I'm excited to have the chance to compete against them every year and measure ourselves against them," said Head Coach Jordan Crouch.
"Today wasn't our finest day on the court. I think we got down early and struggled to battle our way back after that. Have to be a goldfish tonight and get ready for Grove City tomorrow. Thanks to the fans who made the drive out to cheer us on today. Hopefully [we'll] see a lot of support tomorrow. Let's go Houghton!"

The Highlanders return to the Kerr-Pegula Athletic Complex tomorrow, when they will host the Grove City Wolverines at 1:00 p.m.
