ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Houghton men's tennis earned a 7-2 win over St. John Fisher on Friday afternoon to stay undefeated in conference play and earn the No. 1 seed in the 2024 conference tournament.

The win was also Houghton's 42nd straight regular season conference win.

The Highlanders swept double plays and got wins in second, third, fourth and fifth singles. The doubles wins didn't come easy as each tandem was pushed to the limit, with the Highlanders getting 8-6, 8-5 and 8-5 wins.

In singles play, Levi Webb (6-4, 6-2), Nolan Zach (6-1, 6-4), Graham Cook (6-2, 6-3) and Preston Tobolski (7-5, 6-0) earned the victories in their respective matches.

Houghton will wrap up regular season conference play when they host Alfred on Saturday, April 27. Then they will host the Saxons again in the first round of the E8 tournament on Friday, May 3 as Alfred has secured the No. 4 seed in the tourney. St. John Fisher and Nazareth will play in the No. 2/3 seed matchup, but the final seeds are still up in the air.
