HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Houghton men's volleyball returned home for an exhibition against one of the stronger junior college programs in the region, losing to Finger Lakes Community College, 3-0, on Thursday in the Nielsen Center.
The Lakers (22-3) won 25-18, 25-15, 25-18.
For the second-straight match, the Highlanders faced a high-powered and efficient attack. FLCC posted 50 kills and a hitting percentage of .432 over the three sets.
The Highlanders again struggled to match their opponent's output, recording just 14 kills and hitting .098.
Leading the way for Houghton was
Elijah Studt with a team-high four kills.
Devin Burns added three kills and three digs, while
Elijah Sproull chipped in with nine assists, two kills and four digs.
Anthony Panboon led the team with six digs.
Houghton is back in action when they host Buffalo State on Tuesday, March 12 at 7 p.m.
