PITTSFORD, NY – Eight track & field athletes competed at the All-Atlantic Regional Championships on Friday and Saturday, hosted by Nazareth College. Teams from 57 institutions were represented from New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. When all was said and done, the Highlanders competed very well, seeing two podium finishes, Brewster matching or improving both school records, two flat track personal best performances, and a top three DIII era relay performance. Here are the results from the weekend:
Friday
- Women's Distance Medley Relay – 12:47.43
Tabitha Clark (3:57),
Sarah Coddington (1:04),
Kyra Binney (2:27),
Noelle Linenfelser (5:18)
Saturday
Coach Hager made some comments after the meet, "I think the most challenging things we face for this meet are A. it being the week of break, sending them home for a couple days, then getting that competitive energy back to compete in a meet such as this, B. coming off an emotional Empire 8 Championship weekend, and trying to replicate, or better those performances. I think this crew did very well at both. Most saw very good steps in their performance. It's always a different and fun experience to be with a small group for a few days, and I'm proud of the product we put out there the last couple of days."
The Highlanders will enter their outdoor track & field season on 3/14 @ Roberts Wesleyan and/or 3/23 @ Houghton. These will both be dependent on the weather surrounding those dates.
