ELMIRA, NY – Jace Hunzinger netted a hat trick, leading an offensive barrage as the Houghton Highlanders defeated the Elmira Soaring Eagles, 10-0.
The Highlanders scored four goals on 19 shots in the opening 15 minutes, opening up a sizable lead they would never relinquish.
By the half, Houghton would lead, 7-0, and held a 34-0 advantage in shots.
The win halted a six-game losing skid by the Highlanders, four of which came by a single goal.
