HOUGHTON, NY – A pair of early goals by SUNY Geneseo's Ella Greico would be all the offense the #18 Knights would need as they held on to defeat the Houghton Highlanders on their home turf Tuesday night, 2-0.
Greico put away her first goal less than two-and-a-half minutes into the game, then added her second only 30 seconds into the second quarter, as the Knights dominated the first half shot totals, 10-1.
Houghton regained their composure in the second half, creating several opportunities but failed to score.
Amber Cribbs and
Annika Galen combined to save 11 shots for the Highlanders.
