Highlanders Secure Third Straight Post-Season Bid with Win at Sage

ALBANY, NY – Jace Hunzinger recorded her second hat trick of the season, as the Houghton Highlanders picked up a much-needed win at Russell Sage, 8-1.  With the victory, the Highlanders have secured their third consecutive trip to the Empire 8 tournament.
 
Looking to pull off the upset, the Gators came out of the gate fast, scoring the opening goal just over a minute into the game.
 
Hunzinger and the Highlanders would answer just over three minutes later, tying the game, and Adria Hartzler would score the game-winner less than two minutes later. 
 
Houghton would add two more goals before the half, taking a 4-1 lead into the break, and add two more goals in the third and another two in the final quarter.
