DETAILS
>> The Highlanders withstood the Geneseo attack in the first half, as the hosts posted a 10-1 advantage in shots over the game's first 45 minutes.
>> The Knights would put another six shots toward the Houghton net over the first 22 minutes of the second stanza, but it was the Highlanders who would strike first. Alex Kalivoda put Houghton up 1-0 in the 74th minute with an unassisted goal.
>> The lead was short-lived, however, as the hosts pulled even just three minutes later.
>> It would be another 10 minutes before either team registered a shot, but this one for the Knights found its way past Houghton keeper Sam Carpenter and pushed the Knights to the win.

NOTABLE STATS
>> The Knights outshot the Highlanders, 19-4, on the day.
>> Carpenter made seven stops in net in just his second appearance of the year and his first start.

COACH McCOLL SAYS...
"It was another tough result today, but I'm really proud of how we played against one of the top teams in the conference. Sometimes you just need a bit of luck to get over the line and we can't quite seem to get there right now."
