UTICA, NY – Lilly Bentley and
Ainslie Reimer each recorded new career highs, as the Houghton Highlanders rolled to a 3-0 victory over the SUNY Poly Wildcats to remain unbeaten in Empire 8 conference play.
Bentley racked up 15 kills, committing only two attack errors, while Reimer collected 26 digs to lead the Highlanders.
After pulling out a tight first-set victory, 28-26, that saw the Highlanders commit nearly as many attack errors (10) as kills (11), Houghton regained their footing, pulling away in the second and third sets, 25-16 and 25-17.
