HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Houghton senior Rachel Domaracki has been named the Empire 8 Women's Outdoor Track & Field Track Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 2.

Domaracki cruised to a nearly 35-second win in the 10,000-meter run at the Geneseo Early Season Invitational on Sunday, crossing the finish line first in a time of 38:37.48. Three of the top five finishers were Empire 8 student-athletes in what could be a preview of the race at the Empire 8 Championships next month.
