HOUGHTON, NY – While most of the track & field team competed at SUNY Brockport on Saturday, a small contingent of
Amanda Burrichter,
Rachel Domaracki,
Caleb Kasper, and
Malachi Yeager headed south to Bucknell University to compete at the distance carnival and multi. Over the course of the weekend 17 personal best marks were set. The unseasonably warm weather certainly ideal for the power events, but success was had all around.
At SUNY Brockport,
Alexandria Wisniewski set the tone with a season best and E8 #2 performance in the 400IH, with 68.20. This sits only behind Utica's Laura Meade.
Hannah Siewert continued in her break out season, running 13.17 (#6 all-time) in the 100m.
Kennedy McCoy was entered in the 3,000m Steeplechase for the first time. Her mark sits at #5 in the Empire 8, thus far.
The ladies that competed at Bucknell both set significant personal best marks.
Amanda Burrichter ran 4:42.72 in the 1500m (#3 all-time), which is top in the Empire 8.
Rachel Domaracki ran 18:30.48 in the 5,000m, which sits at #3 in the Empire 8, and #7 in program history.
At SUNY Brockport for the men,
Brennan Lewandowski, J.J. Eustace,
Amos Bixler, and
Zach Tucker set the tone. Brennan continue his fantastic senior campaign by setting personal bests in the HJ (E8 #5), 100m, and 200m (#6 all-time). Amos and J.J. ran personal bests in the 1500m, and sit #3 and #4 in the Empire 8 with their performances. Finally,
Zach Tucker broke the 16 minute barrier in the 5,000m with 15:58.12 (E8 #6).
The men at Bucknell also set personal best and top Empire 8 performances.
Malachi Yeager concluded his two-day decathlon with the #2 performance in program history (5,792), and top score in the Empire 8 this year.
Caleb Kasper ran a 15:20.38 5,000m, which sits #2 in the Empire 8 and #4 in program history.
The squads will be back together at the University of Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational on April 22.
