New York, NY – The track & field teams took four athletes to The Armory track & field facility in Manhattan on 3/3 and 3/4 to participate in the All-Atlantic Regional Championships. Athletes had to hit a certain qualification mark, in their event, to participate at these championships. Top three athletes in the region get a medal for their performance, and Houghton came home with one 3^rd place finish in the women's 3,000m. Amanda Burrichter nearly won the event, on Saturday, and blazed to a 10:05.40 time, which sits 2^nd in program history only behind decorated distance athlete Danielle Brenon.
 
Malachi Yeager participated in the Heptathlon, for the second week in a row, following his outstanding Empire 8 championship in the event. He scored just below 4,000 points for a 10^th place finish. The highlight of his competition came as he jumped 6.56m in the LJ, his best mark in any multi he's done. This was the top LJ mark in the competition.
 
Ali Wisniewski competed in the 400m on Saturday. She ran 1:02.94, which his her second fastest flat track time of her indoor career. Hayden Williamson also competed on Saturday in the high jump. She cleared 1.50m, and 1.55m fairly quickly. She would take three attempts at a personal best indoor height of 1.60m. Two of these attempts nearly cleared the bar.
 
The track & field teams will have a couple of weeks off competition. Roberts Wesleyan is holding a meet, dependent on weather, in mid March that the Highlanders will hopefully attend.
