HOUGHTON, N.Y. -- Ten Houghton indoor track and field student-athletes will compete in this weekend's All-Atlantic Regional Championship hosted by Nazareth College.

The Highlanders bring a strong contingent, with several eyeing podium spots after producing strong qualifying marks.

The event gets underway Friday at 4 p.m. The only Highlander competing on Day 1 is freshman Amerrah Horne-Vaden who will compete in the prelims for the 60 meters.

"We've got a good history of getting athletes on the podium in regionals," said Head Coach Patrick Hager. "After a big meet at E8's last week and then having break this week with no classes, it will be interesting to see what happens. Getting two or three on the podium would be a successful event. It's also nice to have it fairly local, in a facility we know. It's a fast track. I think our athletes are excited."

Live timing will be available for all events.
