BROCKPORT, N.Y. – In a match that was originally scheduled to be played in the Nielsen Center, the Houghton women's volleyball team dropped the season opener to the Brockport Golden Eagles in straight sets on the road. Construction complications on Houghton's home court forced the game to Brockport, and the Golden Eagles took advantage.
While the Highlanders battled the very end, and nearly pulled off wins in the first and third sets, the Golden Eagles won a dominant middle set and pulled out the bookends for the sweep.
