Houghton, NY– The Houghton College Men's soccer beat Hartwick 4-0 on Saturday afternoon to remain undefeated in conference play. 

The first half proved to be a fairly even battle between the two teams with neither team able to gain a clear advantage over the other. This lead to a pretty even shot count for each team in the first half (HC-5, Hartwick-3) and also a scoreless game heading into the half. 

The second half contained the action that was missing in the first half with Houghton finding the back of the net 4 times in the second half. The first goal of the half came in the 56th minute of the game from Tobias Webb, the first of the game and the first of the season for Webb. With this momentum on their side, the Highlanders were able to score 3 more times in the last 15 minutes of the match. Julius Klohr was responsible for 2 of those late goals, one in the 76th minute and the second 10 minutes later in the 85th. Caleb Bailey also earned his first goal of the season in the 82nd minute. This offensive efficiency led the Highlanders to a 4-0 victory as Hartwick was not able to find the back of the net in the match. 

With the win, the Highlanders remain undefeated in conference play and they will prepare to play PSU Behrend on Tuesday evening.
