Houghton, NY– The Houghton College Men's soccer team traveled to Nazareth for their Empire 8 Match on Wwdnesday Night

The first half proved to be a fairly even battle between the two teams with neither team able to gain a clear advantage over the other. This lead to a pretty even shot count for each team in the first half (Naz-3, HC-6) and also a scoreless game heading into the half. 

The second half began with the action that was missing in the first half with the Golden Flyers finding the back of the net in the first 5 minutes, giving Nazareth a 1-0 lead. The Highlanders were able to attempt more shots than Naz, but none were able to find the back of the net, allowing the Golden Flyers to walk away with a 1-0 win.

With the loss, the Highlanders drop to 5-2 in Empire 8 play as they prepare for Sage at home on Saturday afternoon
