ORLANDO, Fla. -- Houghton women's tennis had some bright spots but remained winless in Florida after a 9-0 loss to Adrian College on Tuesday.
Catie Moore and
Elise Swanson battled hard in first doubles before losing 6-8. Swanson continued that strong play in second singles, losing 4-6, 2-6.
"The girls played well today. This was a tough team but we put up a good fight and walked away better for the experience," said Head Coach
Tonya McGraner. "We had a particularly good showing from number 1 doubles, who had a great comeback from 2-5 down to end the match at 6-8."
The Highlanders return to action vs. John Carroll University on Wednesday at 8 a.m.
