ORLANDO, Fla. -- Houghton women's tennis lost 9-0 to John Carroll University on Wednesday.
Elise Swanson and
Catie Moore produced the most competitive doubles match, losing 8-2 in first doubles. Swanson then played well in second singles, losing 6-4, 6-0.
The Highlanders were only able to win four total games across the seven remaining matches.
"The girls have been doing well this week," said Head Coach
Tonya McGraner. "This is a really great learning experience for us and helping us grow a lot as a team. They've been challenged a lot both mentally and physically. I'm very pleased with the attitude and effort I have seen from them this week."
Houghton is back in action on Thursday when they take on Oglethorpe University at 8 a.m.
