ROCHESTER, NY – The Houghton Track & Field teams traveled to Rochester on Friday to compete in the Conference Tune-Up Invitational. Nazareth opened their new indoor track & field facility this academic year. Many of the top teams in the region competed at this invitational. The highlight of the day for the Highlanders was a program record in the men's 4 x 200m by
Jerome Houston,
Micah Williams,
Jack Howard, and
Nathaniel Zedomi. Their time of 1:33.72 handily beat the team from University of Rochester.
"Most of our athletes were doing different distances today to prepare for Empire 8's next week. As expected, we had a lot of PR's and gritty performances. I think we left just enough in the tank to peak well for next week." Said Coach Hager after the meet.
