ELMIRA, N.Y. – Two late Elmira goals erased a 2-0 Houghton lead and forced the Highlanders to settle for a 2-2 draw in Empire 8 men's soccer action on Saturday.
After a scoreless first half, the Highlanders scored twice in a four-minute span early in the second half to go up 2-0.
Paul Mitchell and
Julius Klohr tallied the goals.
But the host Soaring Eagles pulled within one just 2:47 later and found the equalizer in the 81st minute to force overtime. The teams went scoreless in 20 minutes of extra time.
