BRADFORD, Pa. – Despite controlling play for the majority of the contest, Houghton men's soccer lost a 2-1 OT decision at Pitt-Bradford on Tuesday.
The Panthers opened the scoring off a breakaway in the 29th minute and held onto the lead through the rest of the first half. Houghton outshot Pitt-Brad 4-2 in the opening 45 minutes.
The Highlanders were able to tie the score when
Ben DiCrasto converted a penalty kick in the 64th minute.
Houghton doubled up the Panther in second-half shots, 8-4, but were unable to get any shots past in the keeper in the run of play.
The only shot either team managed in the overtime went in favor of the Panthers, but that's all they needed, netting the game-winner in the 96th minute.
