ALFRED, N.Y. – The Highlanders earned their first conference win against Alfred University.
Meagan Barry started off the scoring with a free position shot followed by another quick goal from
Beck. The Saxons were able to get on the board less than a minute later. Houghton was able to go on a 10 goal run to increase their lead going into halftime 13-2.
Alfred began the second half strong, scoring the first two goals before Houghton answered back. The Highlanders were able to score 6 goals before the Saxons found the net for the final goal of the game. The Highlanders consistent play gave them their 19-5 win over Alfred.
