HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Houghton men's lacrosse moved to 2-3 on the season with a 12-4 home win over Hiram College on Tuesday at Burke Field.
It's tte first two-game win streak for the Highlanders since the 2016 season and marks the lowest goals allowed since allowing just two goals to LaRoche during the 2017 season. The nine total goals allowed over the past two games is the fewest allowed over a two-game span in program history.
The Terriers had entered the contest with a record of 5-0.
Houghton jumped out early against the Terriers and never looked back. The Highlanders scored five unanswered goals in the first quarter and added three more over the first 10 minutes of the second quarter to go up 8-0. The score was 9-2 at the half.
The Highlanders scored three more times in the second half while allowing one goal each in the third and fourth quarters.
