HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Houghton men's lacrosse had its two-game win streak snapped Saturday as the visiting Hartwick Hawks won 13-3 in the first E8 contest of the spring.
The Hawks scored three goals in the first quarter and added four in the second to take a 7-0 lead at the break. Houghton found in the net with just 24 seconds gone in the third quarter on a man-up goal from
Jonathan Mayer.
Nathan Anderson picked up the assist. Hartwick responded with four more goals in the third, and were up 11-1.
Cole Chapman scored another man-up tally off an assist from
Lyle Warrior early in the fourth, and Thomas Woodward scored the final Houghton goal, bookended by two more goals from the Hawks.
