WAYNESBURG, PA— The Waynesburg University Yellow Jackets pulled away down the stretch to defeat the Houghton Highlanders on Friday night, 70-61.
Trailing by eight at the beginning of the fourth quarter, the Highlanders reeled off a 7-0 run, capped by a
Brooke Lewandowski jumper to cut the lead to one.
The Jackets quickly responded with a 13-2 run of their own, building their lead to 12 points heading into the final minute.

>> While Houghton took 16 more shots and out-rebounded the Yellow Jackets, turnovers and free throws proved the difference in the game. Waynesburg committed four fewer turnovers (19-to-14) and took and made 11 more free throws (28-to-17) than the Highlanders.

Caitlyn Cybart and
Hannah Cybart each contributed 10 points apiece.
Emie Taylor added 14 rebounds and eight points for the Highlanders.
